The recently announced Sony RX10 II and RX100 IV have just been released for Pre-Order.
In some recently released information by early hands on previews of the cameras it was revealed that the fast memory buffers attached to the backs of the sensor block only allow for 2 seconds or 4 seconds recording at the highest frame rates aswell as the lowest frame rates of the HFR modes i.e. 960fps to 240fps ; depending on the HFR mode chosen for quality or recording time you get 2 seconds or four seconds capped recording time. The Sony FS700 has been reduced in price several times this year and now commands an under $5k price for the body only package. When the camera was released it commanded a $7,999 USD price tag for the same kit with $8,499 USD for the basic 18-200mm kit. Nowadays you can get some used FS700 bodies for just over 4k.
(UPDATE March 30th 2015) The edgertronic camera on eBay finished without hitting the reserve price at $2350. Camera remains unsold for the time being! No word if it will be re-listed!
The edgertronic camera has been on the top of our HSC Guide for more than a year as the best performer for the price in slow motion. It has serious specs and performance to boot.
