The first edgertronic was revolutionary in price and features and was a big disruptor in the slow motion camera space as many competitors that offered essentially the same performance, were left with price tags several orders of magnitude higher which many customers balked at .

Edgertronic SC2 Launches with Amazing 4456fps 720p!

The edgertronic high speed camera by Sanstreak  has been a darling of scientists, industrial, education and content production users since 2013.  The Kickstarter project not only delivered on the promise but became a full fledged high speed camera provider afterwards with more than 540 cameras shipped to date.

Today they cement that legacy with the introduction of the edgertronic SC2 in both Monochromatic and Color versions with a full resolution frame rate at HD 1280*720px of 4,450fps depending on the model selected.The power and capability of the edgertronic SC2 is over 630% higher than the edgertronic 1 camera “max 701fps HD”, which as of today is known as the edgertronic SC1,  will still be available for the foreseeable future at their store as a lower end option. → Continue Reading Full Post ←

Edgertronic Updates Software to v2.1.7!

The edgertronic affordable high speed professional camera continues it’s software development and occasional fixes to issues that can pop up during extensive use. The new version which is v2.1.7 has a new FTP daemon which allows you to transfer files from the camera to a host computer on the network using the FTP protocol.

The previously released forced monochrome feature for color cameras also makes a solid feature release on this version of the software. This will allow you to use your color camera as a Monochrome version with some benefits but it will not be as good in low light or as detailed as a true Monochrome version of the camera. → Continue Reading Full Post ←

1500 Water Balloons On a Trampoline Slow Motion!

If you thought you couldn’t get sicker about water balloons bouncing and stretching in slow motion think again!  This time 1500 small water balloons are bounced on a  trampoline with kids jumping to create some mesmerizing footage with the help of a Phantom Camera rental from aimed reasearch.

Mark Rober the creator of the video is a former NASA Engineer who worked on the curiosity rover and overall experimental scientist that does a lot of cool things in his life and shares them on his Twitter feed here!
