Drone Experiment Hitting Flesh In Slow Motion!

Aalborg University’s Drone Research Lab based in Denmark  has tested a catapult contraption with a Drone rotor and propeller against pig flesh. The results seem to be as you would expect even before you attempt the experiment. A given hypothesis is that a high speed propeller can cause some damage to skin or flesh as any sharp object would.

It is interesting as an experiment but there seems to be  a lot of negative press about this from several news and tabloid sources. Drones get a bad rap and continue to be a favorite of regulation advocates for privacy and security. Samsung Pulls the NX1 and GH4 Gets Post Focus!

Samsung has pulled out the German market with the Samsung NX1 camera for lack of adoption it seems or a big marketing failure. Will other markets be impacted in the future?  It is quite a capable camera with 4k video and 120fps Full HD recording which currently sits in #11 in our Camera Guide for slow motion on a budget.  While the line may continue in the future those prospects have become more doubtful in recent days with the announcement.  The good news is that the camera may be heavily discounted by years end getting you a great bang for your buck with pretty respectable slow motion capabilities for a mirror-less camera.

Kipon MFT to EF Adapter v2.5 Review!

NEW Update: Kipon has released Firmware 2.5 fixing a lot of adapter issues. Scroll below for new info!

This mount adapter converts Canon EF and EF-S lenses to a micro four thirds mount and permits electronic aperture, auto focus and image stabilization on lenses that support it. Cameras that use a MFT mount like the GH4 and Olympus OMD can now use Canon glass with all the features bundled with the lenses.
