Nikon 1 V3 120 frames 720p in an ILC!

Nikon1v3

Nikon’s new 1 v3 camera has some pretty impressive specs regarding hi-speed video.

  • 120p at 1280*720   HD  (Time duration not specified)
  • 60p at 1920*1080 Full HD  for 10min
  • 768 x 288/400 fps (aspect ratio 8:3; plays at 30p/29.97 fps) */
  • 416 x 144/1200 fps (aspect ratio 8:3; plays at 30p/29.97 fps)  */
  • MSRP $1,199 USD
*/ Hi Speed Cams doesn’t consider these resolutions to be usable for professional work.  It might be good to have them for scientific purposes but not for video quality that can inter-cut with professionally shot material.

We still have no samples from the 120p mode but it might produce a very clean image since Nikon’s 60p mode is very good in recent cameras. → Continue Reading Full Post ←
