A few weeks ago the Kipon full Auto focus, Iris and IS enabled EF to M43 adapter was announced. Many huge doubts lingered to it’s effectiveness in Auto Focus as any other AF adapter for the likes of Sony cameras for example take several seconds to lock onto a target. The Kipon promises to be a seamless adapter for Canon EF lenses on Micro 4/3 system cameras like the Panasonic GH4.

Kinefinity a relatively new company that specializes in digital cinema cameras is about to release to customers theKINEMAX 6kcapable camera. At first glance it looks like a RED Epic clone as the body and design aesthetics suggest however their technology is in house and their prices are much more accessible. The company is based in Beijing China and two of their cameras now offer high quality slow motion modes.
The Nikon 1 J5 was no secret since some leaks have been out for some time. However it is clear that the Nikon 1 line remains focused on speed be it still images or video. However they seem to be capping the frame rates on the HD side and upping the resolution in the 1200 and 400fps ranges by a few lines. We believe the reason is product separation so that the Nikon 1 V4 will be able to have some increase in specs while having the same basic internals.
Some samples from the Panasonic HC-vx870 and hc wx970 which are identical hardware sans the extra selfie camera on the pull out rotating screen have surfaced.
As expected the cameras perform fantastically well and are at this time still the best camcorder value for regular and slow motion video for your money. Go Pro Hero 4 Black samples have been hitting the net and included are 1080p 120fps tests. The quality seems much better than what the Hero 3 black was able to do in 720p but it is below what 1080p 60 can deliver on the same cameras.
