Samsung has released an update to the Samsung NX1 4k Camera firmware now (Version 1.3) that among other things it improves the ease of use and selection of the high speed slow motion video 120fps mode. The improvements are varied and even ad a new USB control application to interface with the camera. Minor bug fixes and enhancements in workflow and usability are also added. The list of goodies below:

Kinefinity a relatively new company that specializes in digital cinema cameras is about to release to customers theKINEMAX 6kcapable camera. At first glance it looks like a RED Epic clone as the body and design aesthetics suggest however their technology is in house and their prices are much more accessible. The company is based in Beijing China and two of their cameras now offer high quality slow motion modes.
FLIR Systems the company that makes the very cool and portable phone and tablet thermal imaging camera attachment: The FLIR Oneis now adding a new product to their arsenal of thermal imaging infra red cameras. The FLIR X69SC is capable of near VGA resolution at up to 1000fps in full thermal analysis mode which is a very impressive spec for the technology.
Fastec Imaging known for very capable but very expensive high speed cameras for scientific and video production/cinema has announced a new camera based on the same TS3-TS4 Cine platform they initially released a few years back at NAB which has been extremely popular for rental and ownership.
The camera is called the Fastec TS5-H which is an upgrade from previous TS cameras as it delivers full HD performance with a newly developed sensor at speeds up to 634fps at 1080p. 720p on the other hand delivers 943fps which is very close to the 1000fps realm that is almost negligible. The DVX100 was a huge camera for Panasonic way back in December 2002. So 13 years later and after a website built around that camera and it’s users, now a viable upgrade path; if they haven’t already upgraded to something else most likely.
