Out of all the tests possible with these cameras it seems slow motion is the last on the list. However we have found some examples from both the Sony a7s in 720p 120fps mode and the Panasonic FZ1000 in 100fps full HD 1080.
Early in 2013 the near defunct name of Kodak as a camera maker was given some life support by having its name licensed by JK imaging Ltd. a start-up imaging company that is hard to know much about. See this article for some clarification.
This week the Kodak brand name was revived with the Pixpro S1. A Micro 4/3rds camera with lens compatibility with Olympus and Panasonic. The specs are as follows:→ Continue Reading Full Post ←
Right on the rumor heels of the LX8 we get a new camera from Panasonic. The FZ1000 looks like a GH4 only larger and with a huge lens (Non Interchangeable). The specs on the camera surprised us and it follows our slow motion estimation for improvement.

It will be premature to predict but the logical progression for the LX8 is to offer 120fps at 1080p and 240fps at 720p. Don’t hold your breath but if this camera delivers it might become the next best thing in cheap quality Slow Motion.→ Continue Reading Full Post ←
