Edgertronic Camera Update
As many of you know the edgertronic hi speed camera is still in the #1 position on our HSC Camera guide. It offers professional slow motion features in color for $5,495.00 and in Monochrome for $5,695.00. At HD 1280*720p resolution it offers 700 fps and records in a high quality implementation H.264 codec. Up to 17,791 fps at reduced resolutions.

Two Panasonics that are Slow-Mo Wonders!
Back in 2012 it seemed that with the advent of the Lumix LX7 with its 720p 120fps video mode it was only a matter of time for even stronger high resolutions in semi professional compact cameras. For some reason or another the LX8 has not come out to replace the LX7 and it is probably still the best 720p 120fps camera for the price available. It is very high quality for a compact camera image with a 1/1.7″ sensor; even with mild aliasing it is still one of the more professional images out there.
The LX7 will become two years old this July and it is already becoming really scarce on availability. That it still retains the 6th spot in our slow motion affordable camera guide would give you some indication of its quality. It wont give you the large sensor look but it will let you have a very good camera with a slow motion function that seems just too good for a camera with these specs. It wont do higher frame rates at lower resolutions but it will also do 1080p at 60fps with very good quality.
GoPro Hero 4 Hi Speed! “Rumor”
The technology info site DGISE has posted a rumor containing leaked info on the replacement to the GoPro Hero 3+ Black.

Panasonic GH4 96fps Splashes Net With Samples!
Over the past weeks the Panasonic GH4 pre-release samples have gotten into the hands of talented filmmakers that have tested the quality and visual look of the GH4 in the Hi Speed 60fps and 96fps mode.
Surprisingly the more cinematic and awe inspiring video made no use of the 96fps mode but showed what the GH4 in low light combined with the 60fps mode was able to capture.
Panasonic GH4 – First Low Cost 1080p 96f HD Camera!
We have been closely following the GH4 since leaks started appearing a few months back. Initial rumors said that 1080p 120 frames/sec will be included as-well as a 240 frame 720p mode. The hype machine was running full seam back then.
When the camera specs were announced and the dust settled we were left with a 96 frame Full HD 1080p camera that claims to be full quality in a variable frame rate mode “No Audio Recorded in This Mode”. What of the 240 720 mode? It seems the camera has done without even the 720p specs of older GH cameras.
