Panasonic FZ300 Offers Low End Hi Speed!

Panasonic introduced this week the Lumix DMC-FZ300 splash and dust-proof FZ200 super zoom successor.  It is a mild refresh of it’s previous incarnations which keeps the 24x Optical; 25-600mm equivalent constant aperture F2.8 zoom lens and it’s 12MP Live MOS sensor and 5-axis hybrid IS .  It does have a new Venus engine processor, added DFD Autofocus, better high ISO and 4k video.

Video Features Highlights:

Samsung NX1 New Firmware & Panasonic G7

Samsung has released an update to the Samsung NX1 4k Camera firmware now (Version 1.3) that among other things it improves the ease of use and selection of the high speed slow motion video 120fps mode.  The improvements are varied and even ad a new USB control application to interface with the camera.  Minor bug fixes and enhancements in workflow and usability are also added. Edgertronic High Speed Camera Review – Part 3

Over the last three weeks testing and shooting with the edgertronic high speed camera has given HSC the opportunity to branch out of the basic kit and expand on the way the camera can be interfaced with.   The small footprint of the body screams to be taken outside and on locations out of a controlled studio environment.

Kipon AF Adapter for Canon EOS EF Ready!

A few weeks ago the Kipon full Auto focus, Iris and IS enabled EF to M43 adapter was announced. Many huge doubts lingered to it’s effectiveness in Auto Focus as any other AF adapter for the likes of Sony cameras for example take several seconds to lock onto a target.  The Kipon promises to be a seamless adapter for Canon EF lenses on Micro 4/3 system cameras like the Panasonic GH4.
