Graham Rowan the creator of the fps1000 camera has posted an update on the current pre-release development of the silver, gold and platinum cameras; here is the post he released:
The rumor mill is heating up when it comes to the third generation Moto X phone from Motorola Mobility. The struggling company subset of the once mighty Motorola went from selling their mobile phone arm to Google in 2011; which then offloaded in 2014 to Chinese Lenovo best known as a PC manufacturer that took over the manufacturing and re branding of IBM Laptops.
The Moto X has been a popular phone but not one with class leading specs. As it turns out the rumors still follow the mantra of being a follower in feature set rather than being innovators. The phones haven’t been stale hardware; far from it actually. They are quality handsets that have enough features at a good price to compete with the likes of Samsung or Apple.
Kinefinity a relatively new company that specializes in digital cinema cameras is about to release to customers the KINEMAX 6k capable camera. At first glance it looks like a RED Epic clone as the body and design aesthetics suggest however their technology is in house and their prices are much more accessible. The company is based in Beijing China and two of their cameras now offer high quality slow motion modes.

Panasonic Lumix GH4 Shutter in Slow Motion- edgertronic camera:
With 4k TVs, projectors and computer displays entering the marketplace in droves it is only a matter of time until 4k finds it’s way into the super slow motion realm for TV, Cinema and scientific analysis.
There is a strong argument for the increased resolution when it comes to capturing at 4k in any frame rate. It gives freedom to crop or punch in for a Full HD shot and or stabilize footage with crop leeway on the borders without trashing a shot. It is also crisp in a way that can only be described as looking through a window; which is a funny analogy because when Full HD came out in the early 2000s that was used often to sell TVs and the new experience. Now we are told the real window is 4k and your perfectly functional 1080p 240Hz tv is next to useless. This is of course hardly a realistic view or currently installed TV technology.
The DVX100 was a huge camera for Panasonic way back in December 2002. So 13 years later and after a website built around that camera and it’s users, now a viable upgrade path; if they haven’t already upgraded to something else most likely.
The new Panasonic DVX200 full name”AG-DVX200” has that portable and production ready for factor with pretty robust specs and a much larger sensor.
