ZTE Axon 7 Phone Joins the 240fps club!

The Chinese Smartphone Maker ZTE has released the Axon 7 handset with some impressive camera features like a newly released 20MP Samsung ISOCELL sensor, F1.8 lens aperture, sapphire glass lens front element for scratch-proof and flare resistance, optical image stabilization in the lens elements and dual pixel on-sensor phase detection auto-focus; not to mention a handy dual LED Flash.

Olympus TG-Tracker Has 240fps HD Video!

The Just announced Olympus TG-Tracker Action Camera is something of a cross between an ultra-portable camcorder and a Sony Action Cam. It has a flip LCD screen, 4k 30p video, built in LED light at 30 Lumens Continuous, GoPro Mount compatibility, No need for a housing, Sensors that record vector data much like the Garmin VIRB of last year and pretty good ruggedness.

The action camera space is getting more crowded and the Olympus TG-Tracker must work overtime to get attention away from Sony and GoPro Hero as the established leaders. Moto G4 Plus Has Low Res Slow Motion!

These seems to be a large quantity of phones coming out every week and it is hard to keep track of them. The new Motorola Moto G4 Plus which is the flagship of the new Moto G affordable line which is the first phone release for Chinese based Lenovo the new owner of Motorola mobility; was to be a big introduction.

The Phone is competitive but a little under-powered, it retains some of the design cues of the last Moto G3 phone line but with a distinctive Lenovo style change by adding the square finger print reader button. 1500 Water Balloons On a Trampoline Slow Motion!

If you thought you couldn’t get sicker about water balloons bouncing and stretching in slow motion think again! This time 1500 small water balloons are bounced on a trampoline with kids jumping to create some mesmerizing footage with the help of a Phantom Camera rental from aimed reasearch.

Mark Rober the creator of the video is a former NASA Engineer who worked on the curiosity rover and overall experimental scientist that does a lot of cool things in his life and shares them on his Twitter feed here! Xiaomi Yi II New 4k Camera Boosts Frame Rates!

The Xiaomi Yi Camera offered most of what the low end GoPro Hero cameras brought to the table but for much less money. Now Xiaomi is releasing the Xiaomi Yi II which is a 4k capable action camera sporting the Ambarella A9 chip with a Sony IMX377 sensor and an f2.8 lens.

For the price of $249.99 which is extremely low for a camera of this caliber; you get a 30p 4k capable imaging body with the added benefit of 240fps at 720p resolution, 120fps at 1080p and 960p and the 2k 60fps spec to boot. CRAFT Camera Modularity Promises 120fps!

Something that came out of NAB 2016 is the paper launch of the CRAFT Camera a modular low cost professional camera that can record in Pro Res and Cinema DNG RAW with more formats to be announced.

It is unclear at this point if frame rates will ever be higher than 120fps but since the 4k spec also includes them; it remains a solid option for 4k slow motion at 120fps or 5x slow motion at 24p playback.
