OnePlus the Chinese Startup Smartphone company has today unveiled the 3rd incarnation of their very popular OnePlus Phone in the OnePlus 3. Specs bring it in line with the competition for the most part with the Snapdragon 820 Chip, an astounding 6GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage and Dash Charge which is their version of rapid charging technology.
The 3000 mAh non removable battery will get one day’s worth of juice in 30 minutes charging with Dash or 63%. This should be an average use scenario. The Camera spec is impressive with real optical stabilizer, 16MP, Sony IMX 298 sensor and RAW image recording
The edgertronic affordable high speed professional camera continues it’s software development and occasional fixes to issues that can pop up during extensive use. The new version which is v2.1.7 has a new FTP daemon which allows you to transfer files from the camera to a host computer on the network using the FTP protocol.
The previously released forced monochrome feature for color cameras also makes a solid feature release on this version of the software. This will allow you to use your color camera as a Monochrome version with some benefits but it will not be as good in low light or as detailed as a true Monochrome version of the camera.

The fps1000 Platinum camera capable of 500fps at 720p resolution has started arriving at the doorstep of Kickstarter backers this week. Production is continuing to fill the backlog of orders and should proceed later on with other models like the fps1000 4k which we are expecting.
Samsung as it is customary has released the rugged version of their flagship Galaxy phone in this case the Galaxy S7 Active. The Phone is IP68 water resistant which is not for scuba or snorkeling but will allow for it to be used in heavy rain, wash it and or for that accidental drop into the sink or puddle.
The Phone did not improve the video specs on the fabulous Galaxy S7 camera but has directly translated the performance; furthermore is might be the first Active phone that may be usable without a protective case of any kind do to it’s new Poly carbonate screen layer which makes it shatter resistance above and beyond what common Gorilla glass can withstand.
The Ono U1 Smartphone is showing signs of life again after almost completely disappearing from existence. The team has posted a Facebook update that shows their upcoming participation in the GSMA Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2016 June 29th to July 1st.
As to what they will present we are not sure; there are questions on the post by interested people about the 480fps frame rate capability on the Ono U1 already and so far no answers have been posted, but that could change. We may actually see a phone by then and if high frame rates are included it will be a welcome surprise.
